Computer users are amassing larger quantities of data in their households as their digital music and movie collections move on to their hard drives. This trend has led to many new home storage options that were once only available to the technical savvy. Windows Home Servers and network attached storage (NAS) products have been in the market for a while now, but these devices have typically been too expensive or too complicated for the average user.

Today we are taking a look at the Data Center (DC01) from SilverStone. This device is designed to be more than just a network storage device. The DC01 allows users to stream music, video and pictures to networked equipment, set up a print server, as well as other functions. All of these features come in a tiny enclosure measuring 123mm(W) X 123mm(D) X 33mm(H). This cool little NAS is has a dual-core ARM 11 CPU running at 750MHz. The unit has 256MB DDR2 memory and 256MB of NAND flash. There is room inside for one 2.5″ HDD or SSD for storage, or you can attach an external HDD via the eSATA or USB ports. The DC01 has one Gigabit LAN port, two USB2 ports and e-SATA. Let’s check out the specs.
